Acceptance

By creating an account or otherwise using DateSpots, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Who can use DateSpots

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. One account per person.

Your account

You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials safe. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

Reviews and content you post

You keep ownership of what you write and upload. You grant DateSpots a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host and display it as part of the service.

Reviews must reflect a genuine personal visit. Don’t post content you don’t have the rights to, and don’t impersonate others.

Acceptable use

No spam, harassment, hate speech, illegal content, scraping, or attempts to manipulate rankings or reviews. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.

Ranking integrity

The 12 and every ranking on DateSpots are earned by the community. Businesses cannot pay to rank higher, pay for placement, or pay to remove honest reviews. There are no sponsored or promoted results.

Intellectual property

The DateSpots name, brand, design, and the compilation of its data are ours or our licensors’. These terms don’t grant you any right to use them beyond using the service.

Disclaimers

DateSpots is provided “as is”. Venue details, opening hours, and prices are community- and third-party-sourced and may be inaccurate or out of date. Always confirm with the venue.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot be limited under Dutch or EU law. Your mandatory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Subject to that, DateSpots is provided for personal, non-commercial use. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data, nor for the accuracy of venue information, the conduct of other users, or your experience at any venue you discover through the service — always confirm details directly with the venue. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to €50.

Termination

You can close your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or the law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; we’ll post the new version here and, for material changes, notify you. Continued use means you accept the update.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
